Got private health insurance?
It sure is expensive. But I reckon it is worth it for the peace of mind of having access to the best medical professionals money can buy when you need them, and not being at the mercy of the public system for procedures that aren’t done in public hospitals – like certain types of orthopaedic surgery.
It is at this time of year that lots of people I know aren’t getting value from their extras cover on their health insurance.
Most extras cover gives you cover for physio, massage, acupuncture and even the custom orthotics we sell (BUPA is the only fund that doesn’t cover our custom orthotics).
If you have a niggling problem and you need to get it see to, please be aware that most health funds reset on 1st January every year and you will lose your 2019 cover if you haven’t used it in the next 3 weeks.
