AMEETH RUPARELIA – SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Ameeth Ruparelia

Having qualified from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2013, Ameeth has moved to the Redcliffe Peninsula to continue helping everyday people and recreational athletes who really care about their health.

Ameeth has had a diverse career working in both public and private sectors as well as high level sport. He has held specialist and advanced practitioner roles concentrating on patients with shoulder and lower back conditions. His main focus was providing diagnostic opinions and advising patients when first and second line treatments had not been effective especially for patients who were keen to avoid surgical intervention. However, when surgery is unavoidable, Ameeth is fiercely passionate about providing patients with high quality post-operative care. Having worked at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, a Centre of Excellence, he gained an expansive knowledge from being around expert clinicians and top surgeons.

The excitement and passion of sport attracted Ameeth to take up roles at English Premier League football club Brentford FC. As well as being a match day Physio, he was also the medical lead for the U15/16 Academy squads helping the next generation perform at their best. He has also worked with Auckland Netball and also with national level swimmers across the South East of England.

Ameeth has a keen interest in helping people with long-term musculoskeletal conditions and loves the opportunity to form a genuine working relationship with these patients. This means he can provide a comprehensive and nuanced treatment approach to help patients achieve their goals and more.

Ameeth is passionate about fitness and this is reflected in his treatment style which is focused on exercise based rehabilitation supplemented with soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation and acupuncture. He is a keen runner and loves rehabbing fellow athletes whether they are out there to get a quick time or have a fun time.
